Our promises in brief
- We don’t track you. We don’t use advertising, retargeting or tracking cookies, and we don’t build a profile of you.
- We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it with anyone for advertising or marketing.
- We take only what’s needed. Only when you write to us or subscribe to the newsletter, and only as much as you give us.
- We don’t link the topics you read to you. We don’t store which health topics you read in a way that is tied to you as a person.
What information do we collect?
- When you read the site: as with any website, the servers of our hosting and security services briefly keep information such as your IP address, browser and the page requested, as a security log. Our visit statistics are cookie-free; we see only aggregate numbers.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message; only so that we can reply to you.
- Newsletter: only your email address; to send at most one newsletter a month. Sign-up is double opt-in: no newsletter is sent until you click the link in the email we send you.
You don’t have to describe your health in your message. If you do, we use that information only to answer your question. We don’t give personal medical advice or dose recommendations.
Who do we share it with?
Only with the companies whose services we use to run the site, and only for that work: hosting and security (Vercel, Cloudflare), database (Neon), delivering contact messages to us (Google Gmail) and sending the newsletter (Brevo). These companies cannot use your information for their own purposes. Transfers abroad and the legal grounds are explained in detail in the KVKK Data Protection Notice.
How long do we keep it?
We delete contact messages after 12 months. Your newsletter address stays until you unsubscribe; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter. Security logs are kept for the short period set by the service providers.
Your rights and security
To find out whether your data is processed, or to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, just write to [email protected]; we reply free of charge within 30 days at the latest. How we protect your data and how to submit a request are explained on the Your Rights and Security page.
Cookies
What is stored in your browser, what is not, and why we don’t ask for cookie consent are explained on the Cookies and Tracking Technologies page.
Changes
We update this policy when the way we handle information changes; the date of the update is shown at the top of the page.
